Healing

I haven't been very well for a few weeks now.  It started with a cold, then a really bad cough and now i'm feeling very tired and run down.  However, with lots of natural remedies i'm gradually feeling better every day.  I wanted to share with you some of the natural ways and remedies i've used over the last week to help myself heal.

Sleep and rest - i've needed a lot more sleep than usual for the last few weeks, and i've rested during the day when I felt really exhausted.

Water and coconut water - i've needed plenty of fluids and these are my favourite hydrating drinks.

Herbal tea with manuka honey - lots of ginger, peppermint and rosehip teas.

Elderflower cordial - homemade.

Flower Remedies - I use olive flower remedy when i'm feeling really drained.

Crystals - I love my crystals and my rose quartz have been very healing this week.

Reiki - i'm attuned to reiki, having just passed level 1, so i've been using it on myself.  It really does help.

Meditation and breathing exercises.

Fresh juices - i've made juices most days, except when i've felt too tired.  Check my last post for one of my favourite recipes.

Aromatherapy - i've been using eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils for steam inhalation to help to unblock my sinuses.

Fresh air - when it's been good weather, i've sat outside for some fresh air - natures medicine.

I've probably forgotten something, but these are what I generally use when i'm feeling like this.  Hopefully i'll be all better soon.  Can't wait!

  2. Thanks Rose. I did use your inspiration and took Luke foraging for elderflowers. We've made two batches of elderflower cordial this week, it's so delicious. Really soothed my sore throat. xx

  3. Hi Kelly! I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. I've had a tough week of feeling exhausted too, but I did what you suggest and had two full days resting over the weekend and I woke up feeling refreshed and like a new person yesterday.

I hope you're feeling better. The Elderflower cordial sounds amazing! I'd love to try that.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I look forward to staying in touch. If you want to do my gardening course, I've just created a payment option to split the investment into two monthly payments.

Take care of yourself and feel better soon,
    Love, Nicola Chatham
