Winter snow, raw foods and crystals

Image
This morning we took a trip to our favourite nature reserve.  Wrapped up warm, we had a lovely walk in the snow, watched the birds, saw a gorgeous wild rabbit hopping through the trees and took lots of photos.   We loved this amazing insect home that the reserve had made. And saw lots of beautiful birds. Luke enjoyed playing with the snow and ice. And I enjoyed playing with my camera. A lovely way to spend the morning. Last week I started my crystal healing course with Hibiscus Moon , and i'm absolutely loving it.  Her lessons are so informative, but fun as well.  I've been using crystals in my reiki treatments and I find it makes it even more special.  I've created my little sacred space to keep some of my crystals and i'm building up my collection.  Working with crystals is an amazing experience and I just love their energy.   I've been doing a ...

A New Year

Image
As I woke this morning, on the first day of 2013, I felt extremely positive and grateful for all the wonderful opportunities 2012 had given me.  I grabbed my journal and wrote and made plans, feeling inspired and happy. The boys woke up and we all laid in my bed chatting for over an hour.  One of those lovely moments which I treasure. I opened the curtains to beautiful blue skies and sunshine, a perfect day to start the year. I then made my first juice of the 2013.  The first of many as I am doing a month long juice detox for the whole of January.  I'm so excited about doing this, it will be the longest detox i've done so far. The boys enjoyed a little time outdoors before coming back into the warmth. Today has been spent juicing, reading, journaling and spending time with the boys listening to music, playing lego and watching a dvd together.  A lovely quiet, peaceful day to start our new year.

Winter Solstice By The Sea

Image
Today we celebrated the winter solstice by spending some time on the beach, whilst visiting family in Northumberland.  It was freezing cold, but that didn't seem to matter as the boys ran around, climbed on the rocks and searched for interesting things on the sand that the tide had left behind.  I also managed to forget about the cold whilst taking photos of them and the beautiful surroundings. Watching the waves crashing together, the seagulls flying overhead and seeing the boys so happy made this special day even more special.

Christmas Preparations

Image
We've had a very busy, but lovely, week making preparations for Christmas.  On 1st December, we always put up the decorations.  This has been our family tradition since the boys were very small.  So we put on our favourite Christmas songs and had a lovely time making the house look magical. The result - two very happy boys!

My Amazing Time In London

Image
I arrived home late last night from an amazing three days in London.  I thought travelling to such a big city on my own would have been really scary, but it really wasn't.  It was a perfect weekend and i'm so thankful that I faced my fears and followed my intuition.  It's a trip i'll never forget. I arrived in London on Friday morning and took the rather long walk from Kings Cross to the Strand.  I was pulling my suitcase in one hand, following google maps on my phone in my other hand, whilst accidentally hitting everyone that I walked past with my yoga mat.  I did finally make it to my hotel around lunchtime.   After a quick bite to eat, it was time to explore.  I picked up my camera and off I went.  I walked to Waterloo bridge which was just around the corner and took a few photos from there.   Then I walked to Trafalgar Square. And then I decided to find Covent Garden.  I managed to find Neals ...
