Winter snow, raw foods and crystals

This morning we took a trip to our favourite nature reserve.  Wrapped up warm, we had a lovely walk in the snow, watched the birds, saw a gorgeous wild rabbit hopping through the trees and took lots of photos.

We loved this amazing insect home that the reserve had made.

And saw lots of beautiful birds.

Luke enjoyed playing with the snow and ice.

And I enjoyed playing with my camera.

A lovely way to spend the morning.

Last week I started my crystal healing course with Hibiscus Moon, and i'm absolutely loving it.  Her lessons are so informative, but fun as well.  I've been using crystals in my reiki treatments and I find it makes it even more special.  I've created my little sacred space to keep some of my crystals and i'm building up my collection.  Working with crystals is an amazing experience and I just love their energy.

I've been doing a juice detox since new years day, and it's going really well.  I'm now having juices, with salads and raw soups.  This is the raw soup that I made yesterday, and the recipe.

8 Sundried Tomatoes, soaked until soft
1 Red Onion
1 Clove of Garlic
!/2 Red Pepper
Sprinkle of nutritional yeast flakes
Basil
Oregano
Pinch of himalayan salt
Water

As I wanted a warm soup I used water that I had heated a little in the kettle so that it was nice and warm, but not boiling, and then blended it all.  Lovely on a cold, winter evening.
