Christmas Preparations

We've had a very busy, but lovely, week making preparations for Christmas. 


On 1st December, we always put up the decorations.  This has been our family tradition since the boys were very small.  So we put on our favourite Christmas songs and had a lovely time making the house look magical.





The result - two very happy boys!

Journaling has always been very important to me, I find it very healing and creative, and I try to make some sacred time each day to sit and write, sometimes in bed, sometimes outdoors in the sunshine.  I love to journal after meditation, when I feel so calm and relaxed. I have a few different journals, and each one has a different purpose. I have my red floral journal which I write in every morning.  This is where I write my morning pages, from The Artists Way, which involves writing three pages as soon as you wake up.  I also include other journal work from other courses too. Creating Simplicity

We may be in February already, but this is my first post of 2014. Time seems to be flying by! My blog may have been quiet, but life certainly hasn't. I've been very busy with the boys, studying, working, creating and making plans for my new business. It's been an eventful and exciting time. My theme for the beginning of this year was to let go, release and simplify, and that was definitely true for January. I spent hours decluttering the house, unsubscribing to newsletters that I no longer needed, letting go of ideas and plans that were no longer in alignment with my life, unsubscribing to magazines and releasing negative thoughts and beliefs. I still have more to do, but it feels extremely freeing to simply let go. From my medicine wheel, which I did back in December, the word for January was "opening". A Trip To London

We took a trip to London a few weeks ago with the boys, this was their first time visiting London and they really enjoyed it. Luke absolutely loved Hyde Park, looking at all the wildlife and hand feeding a squirrel. We spent most of Saturday morning walking around and exploring. It's such a beautiful part of London, and Luke definitely prefers to be in nature. He gets it from me!! Dylan loved seeing some of the famous landmarks such as Big Ben, the London Eye, The Shard, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, and he really enjoyed visiting the Museum of Natural History. They both enjoyed going on the tube and walking along the Thames. I got to eat at the Wild Food Cafe in Covent Garden, my favourite place to eat in London, and had a lovely raw pizza and salad. I also visited my favourite herbal tea shop to stock up on teas. As always one of the best things for me was walking around with my camera, taking lots of photos of these lovely memories... ...
