Photography & Nature

Today we went for a lovely walk around our local nature reserve. It was a beautiful day and we were surrounded by flowers, trees and wildlife. The perfect start to my photography project. <3

My Photography Project

I've had a week off work this week and time for a much needed rest. There's been so many amazing things happening this year and i'm feeling so grateful for everything. The only down side to this is that I don't always get the chance to follow my creative passions as much as i'd like. So this week has given me the chance to reconnect with my love of photography and i've decided it's time for a new creative project.  So many things have inspired me to do this. I've been reading some of my favourite photography books and a few days ago I watched one of my favourite films Yes Man. In this film Zooey Deschanels character goes out for a run at 6am every morning with a group of people and her camera, taking photos and getting exercise. I love this idea and i'm planning to create my own version of this. I want to spend more time outdoors with my camera. I have some good opportunities to take some lovely photos over the next few weeks with trip...

Beautiful Full Moon

There's something amazing about the full moon, not only is it beautiful to look at but gives such an incredible energy which I always feel quite profoundly. Last nights full moon was a blue moon, the 2nd full moon in one month, and I could definitely feel it. I actually felt quite tense and drained, maybe the moons way of telling me to get an early night and some much needed rest!! So after standing under the full moon with my camera for a while, I followed my intuition and went to bed and woke up this morning feeling refreshed and so much calmer. Sometimes it's so important to notice these signs, connect with your intuition and do what feels right in the moment. This is sacred self care and I think it's essential when creating a healthy, vibrant life. <3
