Family Time, Raw Food Inspiration & Being Brave

As usual it's been very hectic around here. I started my new job two days ago and I love it. I get to spend my work days advising people on vitamins, nutrition and herbal remedies. It's perfect for me, and i'm so grateful to have found such an amazing job.  I've been trying to make the time that i'm not at work or studying, special time for me and the boys. We've enjoyed snuggling up on the sofa watching dvd's and late night walks in nature. I love moments like these, they are one of the reasons that being a parent is the best feeling in the world.  I've also been busy in the kitchen creating some recipes and getting some practice with my dehydrator. This week i've made a raw rice and vegetable dish, raw carrot cake, kale chips and raw sundried tomato crackers. They were all delicious and I really enjoyed getting creative in the kitchen. New Beginnings

Since arriving home from Europe, i've been feeling so overwhelmed by the changes in my life. It's certainly been an exciting, but emotional few weeks. The major change is that after 4 years of homeschooling, Luke started high school last week. Although we'd planned that he would go, it was still tougher than I expected. I walked with him on the first morning, and as I stood at the school gates watching him walk up the drive way of the school, I couldn't hold back the tears. It was a tough moment. I walked away from the school that morning contemplating what a big change this meant for us. However, he seems to be settling in well and is still my happy little man who loves cuddles and snuggling up together to read or watch a dvd. Those moments seem even more precious now.  Then a few days later I got had a job interview for a part time job in a health food shop.
