Juicing, Metaphysics & My Yoga Practise

Wow, I can't believe it's almost the end of April already and this is my first post of 2015! It's been a really busy and exciting few months so I thought i'd share some of the things that have happened this year so far.

I've been loving working through my metaphysics course and i've loved learning so much about the lunar cycle and charting it for the first time. I've been out taking photos on an evening, and writing a journal to see how each lunar phase affects my health, mood etc. It's been really interesting and I feel more of a connection to the moon now. I love to meditate outside when it's dark, particularly under the new moon or full moon, and cleanse my crystals and oracle cards. So much amazing energy. I'm now onto the tarot module so i'm busy learning about each card and doing readings.

In January, I volunteered at Jason Vales seminar in London. It was a brilliant experience and I got to catch up with lots of friends from the Juice Academy. Jason was amazing as always and I left feeling very inspired. I've been busy creating lots of new juices as well as raw vegan recipes and i'm putting them all together to create a recipe book which is really exciting!! I just love creating and eating new, healthy foods. I ran a raw food retreat about a month ago and it went really well and I felt even more inspired afterwards. I'm also taking a raw cake class online to learn even more.

In February, I decided to make self care a priority and booked myself in for a massage. It's the first time in well over a decade that i've had a massage, but I felt it was important. It was lovely and relaxing, and afterwards we had a lovely chat and she mentioned that they'd like someone who does reiki to work from the therapy room. It felt like it was really meant to be and was an amazing opportunity. It's above a crystal shop and vegan and vegetarian cafe, and it's such a beautiful space. So once a week, I do my treatments there and i'm loving it!

One of my main focuses this year is yoga, and I created my morning routine around this so I had time everyday to fit in my practice. Some days I manage an hour, other days it's just 10 minutes, but that's fine. I've been reading lots of inspiring yoga books, trying our new dvds and working on meditation and mindfulness. I can feel my body getting stronger and more flexible, and it's an amazing feeling. I've always been someone who thought I was rubbish at anything physical. I don't really enjoy sports, and I never used to do any exercise at all. But now it feels really important to me, and i've found something that I really love. I don't mind getting up at 5am, because it means I get to do yoga and afterwards I can sit on my mat and drink a herbal tea or juice and write in my journal. It's a very empowering feeling to make that decision everyday and i'm really loving my practice.

As a family, we've been enjoying nature walks now it's spring and the weather is much nicer. I feel so much better for spending more time outdoors in the fresh air. On Easter Sunday, we had a walk in the Peak District, which is a beautiful part of the UK, and had a really lovely time. Even though my legs were aching for days afterwards!

A really exciting thing which happened this week is that I got to meet Joe Cross (and on my birthday!). He was doing a talk in Leeds and afterwards he did a book signing. Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead is one of my favourite documentaries on juicing and health, it's very inspiring and Joe was such a lovely, funny guy. His talk was brilliant, and it was lovely to meet him afterwards. The perfect way to spend my birthday evening.

So hopefully it won't be another four months before I get around to updating again!!

Much love to you all <3
