Yoga, Stillness & Raw Crackers

Yesterday morning I woke at 5a.m ready for a shower and a yoga session.  Afterwards, at around 6a.m, I took my yoga mat outside for some meditation and journaling.  It was a perfect summer morning, the sun was just rising, the birds were happily singing away and there was a lovely feeling of stillness.  Everything felt right in that moment.  I wrote in my journal, and took many cleansing deep breaths, breathing in the lovely, fresh morning air. I felt so calm and peaceful.

This is one of the many reasons i'm so passionate about meditation.  It has the power to make you feel completely at peace and to simply enjoy the moment.  No worries, no stress, just complete relaxation.

Luke woke at about 7a.m and came and sat on my yoga mat with me.  For the next half an hour we sat there, snuggled up in a blanket, and chatted about everything we could think of.

After such a lovely start to the day, I felt very positive and motivated make it an amazing day.  I decided that I wanted to experiment with my new dehydrator so I made my first batch of raw crackers - sun-dried tomato and herb.  They were so delicious, and it felt really lovely to be making this food.

I'm so excited to learn more and share lots of ideas and recipes with you.  In fact, i'm loving this whole raw food journey that i'm taking.  I know there's so much more to learn, that will never stop, but i'm loving creating lovely, nutritious foods which are not only good for the body, but also for the soul.  Eating raw is so much more than simply the food, it's very spiritual and opens you up to an amazing, though sometimes tough, journey which is so worth it.  It's an wonderful path to take, and one I will never regret.  The path to a healthy lifestyle is the best path you can ever chose to take in life. We all deserve to be healthy, and creating a lifestyle which supports this is really magical.

So if you feel this is your chosen path too, take it and empower yourself to become the person you dream to be. Don't let anything stand in the way of creating a life you love.
